The second biggest province in the South of Thailand, Nakhon Si Thammarat is an ancient city of great importance to Thai history. It was once the center of art, culture, and marine trading of the region, proven by abundant antiquities and archaeological evidence discovered here.

How to go

There are buses, both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned, running from Bangkok Bus Terminal (Southern Line) to Nakhon Si Thammarat every day. The journey takes around 10 hours. For more information, call 1490 or visit www.transport.co.th.

Online ticket booking is also available on www.thaiticketmajor.com and www.thairoute.com.

There are trains from Hua Lamphong Railway Station to Nakhon Si Thammarat every day.

Air Asia, Nok Air, Thai Lion Air fly straight from Bangkok to Nakhon Si Thammarat with 13 flights a day. The journey takes around one hour and 10 minutes.
